Six years ago, Bo'na had the desire to pursue her lifelong dreams as a soloist and portrait painter. She had problems contemplating on which of the two talents could turn into a career.

She started off singing as a vocalist in local talent shows performing at clubs and outdoors events without much success; so she stopped and enrolled into college to enhance her painting skills as an artist.

By the end of the first school semester, Bo'na was drawn back to her homemade music stage in her home; A place where she felt most comfortable with being herself.

Inspired by her top seven favorite artist's; Whitney Houston, Diana Ross, Minnie Riperton, Mary J. Blige, Janet Jackson, and Madonna. Bo'na continued practicing their songs, which sparked a vision that this was truly the place she belongs; on stage performing. So, she decided to walk out on faith and form a band.

Shortly after with much success, Bo'na' heartfelt vocals quickly open doors to performing and sharing the stage with internationally known artists such as The Mary Jane Girls ,Legendary  WAR Band, Rose Royce, First Class, The Spindles, The Intruders, The Original Blue Magic;(Sandra Taylor) The Supremes,{ Van Fields} Stylistics, (Greg Hill) The Delfonics and other well known groups.
